How the FILTRAMAX Water System Works
Five stages in one food grade 316L stainless steel tank:
- SilverShield HYgene filter. Pulls the chlorine and chloramine taste out before it ever reaches your glass, and the silver worked into that carbon layer keeps the material inside itself sanitary, a trick Puronics adapted from NASA's space-water research decades ago.
- Softening and conditioning resin. True ion exchange that reduces hardness, iron, and turbidity.
- AltaPure filtration. Removes suspended solids as small as 5 microns. This is the stage that separates the FILTRAMAX from every other Puronics softener.
- Clarifier bed. Silica gravel gives the water a final polish on the way out.
- iGEN digital valve. Regenerates on your real usage instead of a timer, keeps 60 days of history, runs a double backwash to keep the tank clean, and alerts you when the filter needs service.
