What the TERMINATOR Does for Your Home

How the TERMINATOR Water Softener Works
Four stages, one tank of food grade 316L stainless steel. Here is what happens to your water on the way to the tap:
- SilverShield HYgene filter. Activated carbon reduces chlorine and chloramine tastes and odors. Microscopic silver particles embedded in the material inside inhibit bacterial growth inside the tank itself. The silver ion approach was adapted from NASA water purification research for the Space Shuttle.
- Softening resin. True ion exchange. The calcium and magnesium that make water hard are removed, not just kept from sticking.
- Clarifier bed. Silica gravel polishes the water on the way out.
- iGEN digital valve. Regenerates on your real usage instead of a timer, keeps 60 days of history, holds a reserve so you never run out of soft water, and alerts you when the filter needs service.
The system is WQA certified per NSF/ANSI 44 and NSF/ANSI 372, with certified reduction of hardness minerals, barium, and radium 226/228. Those are independent lab standards, not marketing badges.
How Much Does the Puronics TERMINATOR Cost?
