Inside the HYDRONEX Multi Layer Tank
The tank works in layers, each doing one job on the way down:
- SilverShield HYgene. Carbon strips the pool smell out of chloraminated tap water; the silver mixed into it keeps the tank itself from growing bacteria between regenerations, an idea Puronics borrowed from NASA's water purification work.
- S-759 monospheric softening resin. Uniform sized beads give higher flow rates and efficiency while reducing hardness, iron, and turbidity.
- Silica gravel clarifier. Polishes the water to clarity before it leaves the tank.
- iGEN digital valve. Tracks 60 days of real usage, regenerates only when the resin needs it, runs a double backwash to keep the bed clean, and tells you when the filter is due.
Layered construction is the whole design philosophy here: liner, shell, cover, each material doing one job instead of one expensive alloy doing all three.
